Blind faith?

When was the last time you heard the story of Jesus? Not religion, not church, not theology - just Jesus. Most people think Jesus is cool. It’s his supposed followers that seem to be the problem.

But Jesus?

Jesus is cool. The gospels (the first four books of the New Testament) are full of incredible stories of his life. The icon of Jesus that many churches use to manipulate people is nothing like the guy who is there in their Bibles. Jesus is often treated as a something rather than someone.

That’s why our focus is on the Bible and not on modern Christian ways of doing things. We let the Bible speak for itself; we let Jesus speak for himself. We explore the depth of his teachings rather than reading our own beliefs into them.

That is also why we invite people - whether Christians or not - to journey with us and to encounter Jesus along the way. We believe that when you see Jesus as he was, is and will be, he is irresistable. His message of love, peace and restoration is the most magnificent thing ever presented to humanity.

And when you meet him - in his word and in the lives of his followers - we believe you will want the life he offers. It is not easy, but it is real.
